The Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail is a very popular route up to the AMC Lake of the Clouds Hut, and on to the summit of Mount Washington. It's known as the "quickest" route up to Lake of the Clouds, but don't let that fool you: It's plenty challenging! After the first two miles of trail, expect to hike basically straight up … But the stunning views make it worth the scramble.
