Caps Ridge Trailhead

Known as the highest elevation trailhead on a public road in the White Mountains (3,008 ft), this trailhead gives hikers access to the summit of Mt. Jefferson via the Caps Ridge Trail. This is a very popular access point for Mt. Jefferson in the summer and fall, so hike with kindness and awareness. Additionally, Jefferson Notch Road is closed seasonally, so be sure to check road closure dates before planning your trip!
