The Chandler Brook Trail is lesser-travelled trail primarily accessed from part way up the Mount Washington Auto Road. Please note that the trailhead is accessed seasonally when the road is snow-free and open, and there is a fee charged to drive up the auto road. The Chandler Brook Trail leads to other trails in the area such as Great Gulf and the Osgood Trail. Hikers should be prepared for extreme weather (yes, it can snow here in the summer!), as this hike is almost entirely in the alpine environment above treeline, and the Mount Washington are is known for having some of the most dangerous weather in the world.
