Located at the Dolly Copp Campground, this trailhead provides access to the Daniel Webster Trail, which is a rigorous, direct climb into the fragile Presidential Range alpine zone (Don't be an alpine zone destroyer -- Please stay on the trail!) and the summit of Mt. Madison. Note that the trailhead has been temporarily moved during campground renovations (summer 2022), and USFS signage should be in place redirecting hikers to the alternate route. Leashed dogs are welcome.
