Durand Lake Recreation Area
The Durand Lake Recreation Area is owned by the town of Randolph and maintained by the Randolph Foundation with nearby hiking trails maintained by the Randolph Mountain Club. The swimming area is a beautiful summer spot to swim. During the summer from July 1-Labor Day, the Moose River is dammed to provide a swimming pool. There is no lifeguard on duty. There are NO campfires or camping allowed. The area is available for public use with no fees. There is a clay tennis court on-site, swings, a slide and a sheltered area with picnic tables. Please enjoy this area with care and consideration for the natural resources and the people who work hard to maintain this recreation site.
Across the street from Durand Lake, is the Ravine House Historical Site on Durand Road, identified with a historical marker.
