Imp Trailhead to Imp Ledges (Imp Face)

This very popular trailhead leads up to Imp Face / Imp Ledges where hikers can catch spectacular views of the Presidential Mountain Range from Mt. Washington over to Mt. Madison. Accessed in all four seasons. Hikers can loop back down for a 6-mile hike or access the Carter-Moriah Ridge and/or the Wild River Wilderness by following the North Carter trail. This is also a great out and back hike option (~4.5 miles total) if you don't want to walk the road for that .3 mile stretch in between the north and south trailheads. As this is a very well-travelled trail during many months of the year, please hike with kindness.
