Libby Memorial Recreation Area (a.k.a. “Libby’s Pool”)
The Libby Memorial Recreation Area (a.k.a., "Libby Pool") is a year-round gathering place for locals and visitors alike. The recreation area includes a baseball field, swimming pond, additional athletic field, skating rink (winter season), and covered picnic areas for seasonal outside gatherings. Maintained by the Town of Gorham, and much like the Town Common, this recreation area is a true gem, well loved by all who come to play. Enjoy it and make sure to carry in / carry out.

Park in the large gravel lot by the "Libby Memorial Recreation Area" sign, directly off Rt. 16, about 1/4 mile before reaching the junction of Rt. 2. Ample parking available. This is also a great alternative parking location for Carter Moriah trailhead access (with a short walk across the bridge) that does not require that you park in a residential area. Try it out!
