Lookout Ledge (Leadmine Ledge)

This 4.3-mile round trip, moderately challenging out-and-back trail begins at a parking lot off 420 Main Street in Gorham. Cross the Androscoggin River via the Trestle Bridge and follow signs for the Mahoosuc Trail.

The route starts on wide trial access road, turning into a forest trial and then a steady climb near the top. A short side trip to Mascot Pond offers a scenic water view, but the real highlight is the summit’s sweeping vista of Gorham and the surrounding mountains.
