Mahoosuc / Appalachian Trailhead (Trestle Bridge)

There is a small dirt parking area located at the trestle bridge with space for 5-7 vehicles to access, hiking, walking and biking trails across the bridge including Mascot Pond, Mt. Hayes and the Power Island loop (nice, moderate walking route ~3 miles). This parking area is located next to VIP Tires & Service, just north of downtown Gorham's Main Street area. This trail access point is great for walking Power Island, and offers access to Mahoosuc / Appalachian Trail hikes. The Coös Trails Power Island and Undermine mountain biking / walking loops are located across the bridge from this point as well. Be careful as you cross the bridge, especially with a bike, there are low-hanging cross bars you'll have to duck under.
