For folks who enjoy quiet, nonmotorized recreation, Moose Brook State Park is a fantastic spot to play, rest, and get away from the hubbub while being less than a mile away from downtown Gorham. With 59 campground sites, a swimming pond, shower facilities, a camp store, and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, Moose Brook is a wonderful place to stay and explore or launch a grand adventure from (the Presidential Range and major hiking trailheads are right down the road). Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash and are not allowed in the swimming pond. The park gates are closed during the off season, but responsible recreation is always welcome.
