
Mount Adams (via Air Line Trail)
Mount Adams is part of the Presidential Range, which comprises of thirteen mountains, nine of whom are above four thousand feet. As the name suggests, many of these mountains were named after former US presidents. The remaining mountains hold names of other colonial figures from US history. The views from these mountains are some of the most iconic in NH, and on a clear day, hikers can see across to six states, and even the Atlantic Ocean.
** The Mount Washington area is known for extreme and often dangerous weather. Fatalities are a reality here, so please plan ahead, prepare properly, and always check the weather forecast before your hike.**

The parking area to Mt. Adams via Air Line Trail is the Appalachia Trailhead Parking area off Route 2 south in Randolph. This is a large parking area but often VERY busy.
