There are a number of trails to choose from to ascend Mt. Madison including Valley Way, Great Gulf, Howker Ridge, or as part of a loop with Mounts Jefferson and Adams.

The Valley Way Trail is a direct route to the Madison Spring Hut. The Mount Madison summit can be reached by continuing on the Gulfside Trail a short distance. Enjoy 360 views of surrounding mountains.

** The Mount Washington area is known for extreme and often dangerous weather. Fatalities are a reality here, so please plan ahead, prepare properly, and always check the weather forecast before your hike.**
