Mount Moriah (via Carter Moriah Trail)
Mount Moriah is part of the Carter Moriah Range, and the summit is well above treeline, affording stunning, 360 degree views. It is the second, northernmost 4-thousand-footer in NH, and sits prominently on the Appalachian Trail. Mount Moriah can be hiked from either the Stony Brook Trailhead or the Carter Moriah Trailhead. When parking at the Carter Moriah Trailhead, please note that you are in a residential neighborhood and your considerate and kind parking practices are greatly appreciated. This is a popular, well-traveled hiking area, so if you bring your 4-legged friend, please remind them to be on their best behavior.
