Mount Pierce
Description
Mount Pierce, at 4,310 feet, is one of New Hampshire’s 4,000-footers and a popular choice for hikers looking to summit a Presidential Range peak. Known for being one of the easier 4,000-footers to climb, this 5.9-mile out-and-back trail offers a steady ascent along the historic Crawford Path, the oldest continually used hiking trail in the U.S.
The trail to Mount Pierce is a gradual climb, with the majority of the hike maintaining a moderate grade. While the elevation gain isn’t as steep as some other peaks in the range, the summit rewards hikers with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. For those looking for an additional challenge, continuing along the Crawford Path leads to Mount Eisenhower, another 4,000-footer.
